Millicent Evans

Through image making Millicent Evans creates a space for the mundane to exist in harmony with the eccentricity of colour and pattern often finding the humour within shape and form. Drawing is at the core of her practice, investigating the relationship between human influences and nature. Evans seeks the oddities in her landscape studies as a way to reflect on the way she absorbs these moments in time. Millicent then constructs her paintings from her drawings and distant clunky memories of walking in British landscapes.

The artist currently lives and works in her home town of Walthamstow, London at Mitre Studios.
