Sam Nias’ work focuses on experimentation with light, colour, abstraction and process, operating somewhere between the scientific and the playful. He sees printmaking beyond a way of reproducing multiples and this collection has been developed within the framework of four-colour screen-printing.
The transformation from drawing to print has allowed each piece to become its own unique work, abstracting his drawings during the printing process. This freedom is complimented by the confinements of the layering method and Sam enjoys finding that balance between intuition and structure.
Each print is 1/1 and is beautifully framed in a bespoke deep set timber frame.
