Jo Elbourne

Jo Elbourne is an artist and maker based in Margate.

Elbourne’s current pared-down practice focuses, both literally and figuratively, on handling tension, resulting in taut and layered textile works.

Jo Elbourne wraps and weaves string and cord around frames and found objects exploring the array of outcomes from the seemingly simple act of working these fibres in one direction against another.
