An original handmade Monotype on heavyweight paper by Stroud based artist Philippa Thomas. This one off monotype print is of a Sequoia tree in the parish of Selsley, Gloucestershire. There are several of these trees in a field just next to The Cotswold Way outside Stroud. Philippa Thomas

Philippa predominantly works in printmaking, and has a background in illustration and theatre design.

Her current practise is based on observational drawing in the landscape and a process of material exploration and play in the studio.

Having worked as a designer on several collaborative projects, as well as workshop facilitation, she feels the value and importance of working collectively and is seeking ways do that in print, she is looking forward to new discoveries and future connections.
