Lone Orange Barn

Using delicate line drawings and watercolour washes set against large areas of negative space, Kate Evans produces images that reflect the richness of their subject matter. In her most recent ‘Wilderness Series’ she paints desolate farms in remote areas of America, Scandinavia and Europe. Her work creates a feeling of isolation and space, ultimately depicting the sheer wilderness of these locations. Loan Orange Barn was inspired by a trip to Canada last year and depicts a barn near the Ottawa River.
