Malcolm’s figure drawings feature altered states which derive from glitches found by the artist through the use of digital technology. These glitches are small pieces of information lost or distorted within a larger digital picture. Using traditional drawing techniques rather than contemporary media, these detailed drawings align the past with the present. They play with the idea of perception and how there is and never has been a single reality.
