This is a wide, low, comfortable chair, made for relaxing (not dining height). Made in English Ash it is of 'Windsor' construction - the legs and spindles fit into the solid seat. The seat is cut to shape, then cut into three, angled, and re-assembled to form a gentle hollow. This chair was awarded a Design Guild Mark by the Worshipful Company of Furnituremakers in 2012. Kobi & Teal

Chris Eckersley is an artist and designer who originally studied Sculpture, and later Design at Central Saint Martins, London. His work covers drawing, installation, three-dimensional design, research into measurement and proportion, and designs for furniture. Chris is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and also of the Learned Society of Extra Ordinary Objects. He is co-founder of the experimental Bodging Milano project which promotes links between contemporary design, traditional craft, and improvised making.
