Temper Studio's Choppy Waters Serving Board was conceived as a functional object with a whole lot of sculptural interest. A tactile thing inspired very much by descriptions of the wild and dark ocean from a friend who was circumnavigating the world in a sailing race at the time. The surface of the timber is carved away into these wave forms and then stained black and hand rubbed back again to reveal the drama of peaks and troughs and wood grain.
Available in Oak and Sycamore sustainably grown in the UK and hand finished with natural oils. Includes leather hanging cord.
