Emma Scott

Emma Scott is an artist based with a studio on the edge of the Mendips, near Frome in Somerset. Her approach centres around seeking an instinctual way of being with the work and the materials she uses. Within a place of exploration, something that happens subconsciously holds great importance to the artist, finding joy in stepping back and being open to discoveries.

In some way, creativity requires a willingness to work in the capacity of change and being with uncertainty, which can be uncomfortable. Emma explores the act of relaxing into the sense that things are constantly in flux and finding some internal space to be present with that.
