Trellick Tower

Matt Rees Design

£40.00

Part of the Brutalist Series, these blocks

celebrate the beauty and graphical form of three incredible brutalist buildings with simplified elevations and bold colours.

Designed by Erno Goldfinger and completed in 1972, this 31-story block of flats in Kensal Green, London is one of the most recognisable examples of Brutalist architecture in UK.

The distinctive separate service tower linked every third storey to the access corridors in the main building.

The 217 flats were all originally owned by the Greater London Council and rented out as council flats. A small proportion of the flats are now privately owned.

It has gained something of an iconic status featuring in songs and films and inspiring J.G. Ballard’s 1975 novel High Rise.

The Brutalist Blocks are cast in gypsum plaster and can stand happily on a surface or be wall-mounted.
