Ceramic sculptor, Patricia Volk’s goal, or objective, is to provide the viewer with visual opportunities to explore their own internal world and thoughts. The sculptural object you see is only the starting point. The interpretation is up to the individual. There is no strict representation. The titles are no more than a hint, a nudge.
Patricia has exhibited her work nationally and internationally, including Chichester Cathedral and the Royal West of England Academy, also appearing in the collections of Lord Carrington, the British Consul (Ivory Coast) and Mary Portas. She was Regional Winner of the ING “Discerning Eye” prize in 2007 and was shortlisted for the Brian Mercer Bronze Casting Residency. One of her pieces was also selected as a Southern Arts prize.
