Constructed Bottle I

Amanda-Sue Rope

£295.00

These sculptural 'Redware' pieces are hand-thrown on the wheel with a red stoneware clay. The surfaces of the forms are sometimes marked with grooves, furrows and the like, and then cut up and re-constructed to create one-off pieces heavily influenced by the vernacular of ‘high’ and ‘low’ architecture. They are glazed with a lead-free glaze and fired to 1240 degrees centigrade. The glaze is food-safe and the pieces should be washed by hand.

Red stoneware bottle thrown and constructed with a shiny transparent glaze on the interior surface.

H 33.4 x D 9 cm

This unique piece is part of the CLAYmakers exhibition and purchases can be collected/sent out on/after 6 October. Should this be an issue, please get in touch prior to ordering to discuss delivery options.
